MEET RYANN BERNARD, JD, CPM

Having attended 1000+ births, Ryann is an expert in providing care rooted in bodily autonomy, evidence, & education. She is one of the few solo midwives in the DC-area who provides in-home care to only a small number of clients. She is a graduate of Birthwise Midwifery School (a MEAC-accredited program) and also has a law degree. In her free time, Ryann enjoys pilates, skiing, and going to the theater—often with her kids.

  • Cost: $5000-$10,000 (need-blind sliding scale).

  • Del Ray Midwifery does not accept insurance. Your investment in home birth care is paid out of pocket

  • Ryann accepts cash, Zelle, PayPal, credit card, FSA card, or HSA card.

  • A separate billing company can help you seek insurance reimbursement after birth.

  • Before 32 weeks, payment plans are available.

Ryann offers doula packages to support every birth and budget. Every package includes access to Ryann via text, phone, and email.

  • 1 in-office or virtual prenatal visit

  • 15 hrs of in-person birth support during active labor, with additional support at $75/hr

  • 1 in-home postpartum visit, including breastfeeding support
