MEET RYANN BERNARD

Having attended 1000+ births, Ryann is an expert in providing care rooted in bodily autonomy, evidence, & education. She is one of the few solo midwives in the DC-area who provides in-home care to only a small number of clients. She is a graduate of Birthwise Midwifery School (a MEAC-accredited program) and also has a law degree. In her free time, Ryann enjoys pilates, skiing, and going to the theater—often with her kids.

BIRTH DOULA SUPPORT

Ryann offers doula packages to support every birth and budget. Doula support is available in DC, Maryland, & Northern Virginia. Each package includes access to Ryann via text, phone, and email.

  • 1 in-office or virtual prenatal visit

  • 15 hrs of in-person birth support during active labor, with additional support at $75/hr

  • 1 in-home postpartum visit, including breastfeeding support

HOME BIRTH

The Care

  • Cost: $4000-$8000 (need-blind sliding scale).

  • Del Ray Midwifery does not accept insurance. Your investment in home birth care is paid out of pocket

  • Ryann accepts cash, Zelle, PayPal, credit card, FSA card, or HSA card.

  • A separate billing company can help you seek insurance reimbursement after birth.

  • Before 36 weeks, payment plans are available.
